Below I explain the practicalities of how this story works. If you would prefer to listen rather than read, if you have questions after reading below, or if you’d just like to meet me, I have an introductory video here.
This is a story narrated more or less in real time with a personalised character narrative update every month. The major plot points are fixed in the story, and some of the world is pre-written for consistency and orientation, but your narrative and how you go through the world is 100% unique. It is narrated personally to fit you, your style, and your specific character (you translated into the story).
Movement and interaction with the world is done using some role playing mechanics which some might be familiar with through games such as Dungeons and Dragons. However, though the concepts are similar and Dungeons and Dragons is a good approximation, how this narrative game works is a thing of its own. The rules and world were created specific for this story.
The whole thing is a labour of love, but is time consuming on my part. Because of this, the first two narrations and introduction to the story are free so you can get a feel for things. If you want to continue beyond this it’s a monthly payment of 10 USD through my Patreon. I wish it could be free, but I wouldn’t be able to dedicate as much time to it if it was.
Notion: This world is narrated through a third party tool known as Notion. There’s a chance you may have already been redirected there by now. It’s a Wiki documentation tool. After I get your email, I’ll be setting up your character over on Notion. To access your character and the world/story/game, you will need to create a Notion account. It’s free and simple. Notion will guide you through the process when you first try to access your personalised character profile.
